Letterman pummels O-Reilly on Late Night

David Letterman is royalty among Late Night Talk Show Hosts. He’s wacky, smart, compassionate and a necessary part of my late night ritual. You never know what to expect with Dave. Sometimes, he’s lost in his own euphoria, but he never let’s his guard down and he’s always one step ahead of the press and among interviewers, you can’t beat him….especially in contrast to the script-heavy Leno.

Last night, Bill O-Reilly was on The Late Show. I know Bill from his soapbox on Fox and his proud posture as an American conservative. I can’t tell you much about the details though because I get real bored with talk show hosts who use the media for personal opinions. Some people call this entertainment while some consider it education. O’Reilly thinks it’s ‘healthy.’

Letterman was giving Bill a hard time like he does all of his controversial guests. He’s not afraid of anyone it seems, but when Bill came to the talk show desk, Dave started the interview with a question about his holidays and O’Reilly immediately digressed into a heated discussion from one topic to another and Dave dominated the discussion with some poignant thoughts about O’Reilly and other voices in the talk arena.

Letterman quipped, “I’m not smart enough to debate you point to point on this, but I have the feeling, I have the feeling about 60 percent of what you say is crap. [audience laughter] But I don’t know that for a fact. ”

If you didn’t see the show, there are several clips popping up on the Net and worth reviewing. Check this link here for more details….
