Dedication of Blazier Wilson Hall

BlazierWilson200

On July 26th, 2005, Dr. John Locke hosted the building dedication of the Blazier-Wilson Hall in downtown Kingsport. This event was the culmination of two individuals in our community that were persistent and steadfast at developing an idea to bring the regional community college at Northeast State to downtown Kingsport.

The story goes that Keith Wilson was mowing his lawn when he conceived of the idea and together along with Mayor Jeanette Blazier, they worked for several years to appropriate the funds and lead the campaign for this business venture to mature.

It was hot that day and I walked a couple of blocks down from our offices and shot several photos that included Mayor Dennis Phillips, Former Mayor, Jeanette Blazier, Dr. John Locke, Ted Como, David Grace, Carmine Musick, Diana Meredith, Rod Jemayel, Debbie Salyers, John Crawford, Brad Hoover and several other folks. It was a short lunch time meeting and these folks were deserving of the honor that stands in Kingsport today.

I took a number of photos this day and have compiled them in a slide show. Click here and press the play button to begin.
