After several weeks of diversions, activities and basically “I’ll put this aside for a while, I’m back to trying to get my home server back up and running at Woodoak.
My work at Times-News has been so hectic that coming home and clicking on another computer and reading books have been out of the question.
Among other things, I’ve also been focused on digitizing all home video and going to DVD. I’ve been using Apple’s Imovie and IDVD to process all of the old videos that I shot back in 1993 and 1995 when I first got my Magnavox Video Camera and moving that material to DVD and hope to one day host that on the server as well.
It’s Saturday though and the server is back up and running and I’m beginning to see a little structure, at least on this end. Hopefully, the next several days will open up some new services on the web and there are plenty of new things going on…so there is lots of catch up on.
