Moving out of the hangar – Introducing Kingsport.tv – Kingsport Anytime Video Anywhere

After several months of development, our team at The GoTriCities Network launched a new website today and a new brand. Introducing Kingsport.tv.

Our community here in Kingsport lost its TV station many years ago as WKPT made a business arrangement with the Johnson City Media General affiliate WJHL.

Since then, The Model City has been without its own station. That’s why we thought it would be a good idea to jump out there and bring something fresh to the City of Kingsport in the 21st century.

It’s not the same old TV station either. We’re using advanced Internet technologies at The GoTriCities Network to bring our community a cutting-edge online resource that combines video, familiar from our experiences with television along with the desktop convenience of your computer.

It’s easy to access online videos and you never have to make an appointment to see any content. Just click and play and search our archives too. Find something you like – email it to a friend.

The Dailies at Kingsport.tv
– A daily news brief show that features today’s top stories in and around Kingsport. We’re working together with the Kingsport Times-News and your hosts Jared Bentley and Diana Meredith will make your noon-day a easy read of the top news stories of the day.

Times-News Breaking News
– The Kingsport Times-News video reports offer breaking news and some of the most interesting features about our city. Updated often, you’ll always have Kingsport news right at your fingertips.

Downtown Update
– There’s so much going on in Downtown Kingsport, it’s hard to contain, but Downtown Update lays it all out in a convenient archive. We’ll introduce you to the latest happenings, the cities most interesting new businesses and activities.

Kingsport’s Chamberzone

The Buzz – Local Music
– Our staff has their ear to the ground and will present some of the cities most inspiring new artists and musicians with “The Buzz.” See and hear interviews and performances from the area’s best local musicians.

Food City Cooking School
– Join Sue and the folks at Food City online here at Kingsport.tv for some of the easiest and common sense recipes. These short videos offer great ideas for tonight’s dinner and you’ll find all the ingredients at any Food City.

User Videos – Let’s make you a star!
