Over the weekend my web server crashed and my blog was temporarily unavailable. Anyone that has ever worked with a computer knows how time consuming these errors can be and with all the things happening lately (more on that later), I just couldn’t figure out the problem.
Nevertheless, my old compadre and friend of 20 some years Dan came by tonight and with usual gift of logic, patience and persistence worked through the night and a bottle of Pino to repair the Mysql and PHP errors that shut me down for a few days.
Fortunately, the system is making regular backups and that feels a little re-assuring and fortunately, I lost nothing, other than a few days down time.
During that time, there have been a surprising number of new thresholds and more on that later. For now…it feels good to have a place to brag about my friends. Thanks Dan!
