Travis Stuart is from Johnson City. He used to play bass guitar with Rob Russell and The Sore Losers and most recently, he was working in a band named Horace. That all changed when he enlisted and took his talents to Iraq.
The past several months, Travis has been published his thoughts, photos and news about his adventure and courage to pursue an important and meaningful role in our country’s conflict. I’ve watched his blog for several weeks and always interested in his photos. In a way, it helps me see a part of the war that rarely makes the headlines of mass-media and serves as a front row seat to Travis’s bravery and committment. Click here for his blog.
Today, Travis published one his most poignant commentaries on the War in Iraq with a post titled, “The Fetal State of Democracy.” His insight into the current elections means alot. His perspective and his empathy for the people of Iraq demonstrates extraordinary character.
