There are few articles that come to my attention that deserve a trip to the copier to make multiple copies for my colleagues, but this recent article from Kevin Kelly deserves to be passed around.
It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since Netscape opened the windows up to images, text and ensuing media via the Internet and since then, it has radically changed our lives and it’s been as subtle they come. The earth has wrapped itself in a brain and what we thought then is a humorous reflection in this lucid article.
Kelly was the first editor of Wired magazine and he was featured in the book Digeratti released in the mid-nineties that served as a guiding book for my own journey into the web. This article is truly a must-read for anyone interested in the shape-shifted culture we now live in.
