After several years of participation managing online forums (and having my own share of frustrations), it’s amusing to watch The Ventura Star and The La Times trying to launch user contributed comments without registration or email.
There was a time when I thought anonymity would open important channels for people to share new ideas and opinions without having to worry about the backlash of public exposure. Instead, the opposite happens most often. This picture from the Reboot7 conference is worth a thousand words.
